Since its inception in 2000, this drama has been uninterrupted for 21 years, with more than 4,000 episodes, making it the longest-running TV series with the most episodes in the history of Chinese radio and television.

在廣東，有一部名爲《外來媳婦本地郎》粵語電視劇，自2000年開播以來，迄今從無間斷。今年已經是它開播的第21年，總集數已突破四千，成爲中國廣電史上播出時間最久、播出集次最多的電視劇作品。
